We had an incredible stay at Wood Cabin Villa in Ella. the owners, Kasun and Sajeena, were such wonderful hosts. Kasun even offered transportation in his Tuktuk, making it super convenient for us to explore the area. the homemade breakfast they served was absolutely delicious, the best we had during our time in Sri Lanka. the tree house accommodation was spacious and provided a great level of privacy. It was situated right in the middle of the forest, offering stunning views and the chance to encounter some friendly nightly visitors. We can't wait to return in the future.
Cannot find any faults.

I had the most amazing stay at Wood Cabin Villa. From the moment I arrived, Kasun and Sajeena made me feel right at home. They even picked me up from the train station, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The location of the villa is perfect - quiet and peaceful, yet still within walking distance to all the main attractions. The room was beautifully decorated and had the most stunning views from the balcony and bathroom. The bed was super comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. I especially loved the little touches like the torches, umbrella, and disposable toothbrushes provided in the room. The breakfasts were delicious and served with a view on the balcony. The decoration of the cabin was charming, with a cozy and rustic feel that made me feel right at home. The general areas were well-maintained and provided a peaceful environment for relaxation. As a senior woman, I appreciated how accessible the hotel was, with a short and easy walk to the city center and nearby attractions. It made it convenient for me to explore without having to worry about long distances or steep hills.
The only thing I would ask for a better vacation for senior people is if the children working there could assist with carrying heavy luggage up the stairs. A little extra help would have been appreciated, especially for those of us who may have difficulty with heavier bags.

Friendly hosts who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts were very helpful in organizing our sightseeing. The location was great, tucked away in a quiet corner but still only a short walk from town and easily walkable from the train station.
There were some noise issues, with dogs barking at night and the sound of the nearby Buddhist temple in the early morning. However, despite being close to the main strip, the bars and people were not audible as the hotel is down a lane.
